Speaking with at a Q&A following an AMPAS screening, director Rian Johnson said that he was not given a rulebook to follow regarding Rey, that he was able to answer that question the way he wanted to answer it. And as far as he sees it, it’s legit, though he acknowledges that he can’t speak for what J.J. Abrams and Chris Terrio are doing with the next film:


“I can’t speak to what they’re going to do. And there’s always, in these movies, a question of ‘a certain point of view,’…But for me, in that moment, Kylo believes it’s the truth. I don’t think he’s purely playing chess. I think that’s what he saw when they touched fingers and that’s what he believes. And when he tells her that in that moment, she believes it.”

AMPAS 스크리닝에서 Q&A를 통해 이야기를 나누는 동안에, 라이언 존슨 감독은 그가 답을 원했던 것처럼 질문에 대해 대답할 수 있는 레이관한 규칙서(rulebook)를 받지 않았다고 말했다. 그리고 그가 아는 바로는 JJ 에이브람스와 크리스 테리오가 다음 영화에서 무엇을 할지는 말할 수 없는 것을 시인함에도 불구하고 이것은 입증되었다.

"제가 그들이 무엇을 할지는 말할 수 없어요. 그리고 이런 영화에서는 그들은 '어떤 관점으로 보면'과 같은 질문들이 존재했어요. 하지만 저한테는 그 순간에 카일로는 이게 진실이라고 믿어요. 그가 순수하게 체스를 두고 있다고 생각하지 않습니다.....(....이하생략)"


☞결론

: 현재 스타워즈 시퀄은 감독들간의 소통이 거의 없음.



그러니깐 이런 괴리감이 생기지...ㅎㅎ
